REI is looking for a 2nd Shift Warehouse Supervisor with strong leadership and warehouse experience to supervise the warehouse operations at our facility in Buford, GA, a 24/7 operation.  In this fast-paced environment, the Warehouse Supervisor will oversee the daily work activities of warehouse operators by coordinating and prioritizing activities for the efficient flow of materials and products through the manufacturing process.  The work hours are from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, Monday through Friday, including some weekends. 

Responsibilities include

The Warehouse Supervisor will:

  • Model the “safety first” behaviors we expect of all employees by ensuring that operational procedures and processes are performed safely and provide a safe work environment.
  • Supervise warehouse operators daily work activities and work performance, providing coaching, training and cross-training, and counseling as appropriate.
  • Plan and establish daily and weekly work schedules and assignments to meet warehouse goals while maintaining SEQCD standards.
  • Communicate, train, and enforce adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor the flow of materials and finished goods in and out of the warehouse.
  • Confirm completion of daily material movement, shipping and receiving plans and schedules.
  • Monitor finished product packaging. 
  • Maintain picking, shipping and receiving records and other related files.
  • Supervise physical inventory counts and inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Submit work orders for warehouse and equipment maintenance or repair.
  • Supervise or participate in activities to support EH&S, 5S, SOX, Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) and CT-PATZ programs.
  • May coordinate the pickup and disposal of hazardous waste materials and/or recycling.
  • Prepare periodic inventory status reports, correct negative inventory quantities and discrepancies.
  • Prepare periodic warehouse operator performance reports to identify gaps in daily inventory transactions via scanning material to AS400 systems.
  • Manage and maintain attendance reports and monitor time-keeping keeping system for direct reports per standard operation procedures (SOP)
  • Perform accident investigations including incident reports as needed.
  • Support daily and monthly inventory reconciliation process
  • Stock -in management regarding product staging and storing.

Qualified candidates will possess

Qualified candidates will possess:

  • Must have minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a shipping/ warehouse function. Must have at least 1 year experience supervising a team of 10+ employees.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Strong leadership skills required with the ability to foster a team-oriented department.
  • Experience leading continuous improvement projects and initiatives
  • Good math skills, with ability to calculate numbers in decimals required.
  • Ability to speak and understand basic instructions in English.
  • Able and willing to work weekends, as needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills resolving material control, storage and quality problems required. 
  • Intermediate skills in MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint, to create reports for management, and compile data into charts and graphs.
  • Mandatory forklift truck experience.  Forklift license and the ability to pass REI’s forklift certification upon hire required. Forklift trainer license preferred.
  • Hand-held scanning device and other material handling devices experience preferred.  
  • Paper roll clamp, aisle master lift, and Combi lift experience a plus. 
  • Knowledge of order and inventory management systems required, experience using AS400 system preferred. Experience with FMS,WMS, RIPICS, Oracle, ASRS, RINKS and International shipping system preferred.
  • Data analysis and inventory management skills a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, OSHA, Kaizen, 5S/Safety, preferred. OSHA certification a plus.
