    Job Summary:


    Ricoh Electronics, Inc. (REI) seeks an A/P and Payroll Clerk with a customer-focused attitude to join REI’s accounting team located in our newest location in Buford, GA!  The ideal candidate will have high-accuracy, strong attention-to-details skills and a “can-do” attitude. In this role you will be performing semi-routine duties related to processing inventory and/or non-inventory invoices and assisting with payroll duties.

    Responsibilities include


    The Accounts Payable and Payroll Clerk Will:


    • Match documents against one another, such as packing slips or check run stubs against invoices.
    • Input invoice information and verify data entry to ensure accuracy. Check for missing information such as part number, quantity, price or account number.  Identify discrepancies and contact buyer or A/P Slip originator to obtain needed information. 
    • Monitor available discounts and notifies appropriate department when prompt action needs to be taken to avoid loss of discount.
    • Maintain and update files.
    • Perform semi-routine Accounts Payable activities related to inventory and non-inventory invoice processing and check runs.
    • Contact appropriate parties to notify of action that needs to be taken or to obtain information regarding invoice processing. 
    • Respond to semi-routine inquiries from internal/external customers and resolve semi-routine issues regarding price, payment, quantity or delivery discrepancies, referring the more difficult problems to a higher level clerk or supervisor.
    • Prepare and distribute routine reports by gathering and compiling accounts payable data.  Correct readily identifiable errors and organize data in established formats.
    • Process, review, and approve requests for paid time off.  Update the timekeeping system accordingly and monitor employee accruals.
    • Run timekeeping and payroll periodic reports and queries the databases to respond to ad hoc requests for time or pay data.
    • Enter or update employee direct deposit and tax deduction information in the payroll system.  Verifies data accuracy.
    • Verify the accuracy and completeness of employee data interfaced to the timekeeping and payroll systems from the HRIS.
    • Research employee time and pay data and complete forms or request from regulatory agencies or auditors as required.
    • Process and transmit bi-weekly payrolls to payroll processing vendor.
    • Respond to employee questions regarding payroll transactions, paid time off, and other payroll related information
    • Informs supervisor of issues that need follow-up.
    • Other duties as assigned by management. 



    Qualified candidates will possess

    • High School graduate or equivalent, with 2+ years of Accounts Payable and Payroll processing experience required.
    • Good knowledge of accounts payable practices and procedures, required.
    • Ability to solve semi-routine invoice or accounts payable processing problems, required.
    • Good knowledge of payroll practices and procedures and payroll and timekeeping system functionality
    • Experience administering and communicating company’s payroll programs
    • Working knowledge of applicable processing systems, preferred
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment highly preferred
    • Working knowledge of ADP Payforce highly preferred
    • Experience supporting multi-state locations preferred; experience supporting a California workforce highly preferred
    • Must be dedicated to quality and accuracy, and able to maintain confidential information
    • Strong English verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees. 
    • Very good data entry skills. Very good attention to detail. Very good arithmetic skills. Intermediate Excel skills.
    • Excellent customer-service skills, with a positive, “can-do” attitude required
