REI is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Analyst that will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing and documenting product quality information and coordinates the investigation and resolution of product quality issues for the Georgia Operations Group (GOG).  Prepares quality assurance management reports summarizing quality trends and recommending appropriate action.  Administers quality and environmental systems, programs and databases.

Responsibilities include

  • Audits documentation and reviews quality data to ensure finished product complies with quality standards prior to shipment.  
  • Identifies and reports deficiencies to production, engineering and support areas. 
  • Monitors the implementation of corrective action, tests solution effectiveness and provides feedback on results. 
  • Coordinates the resolution of material claims with purchasing and suppliers.
  • Prepares management reports and presentations for operations management summarizing quality trends and product problems. 
  • Recommends preventative or corrective action to maintain adherence to quality standards
  • Administers quality and environmental systems and programs for the Group.
  • Updates and maintains inspection and related quality records and databases to monitor and document compliance with company standards, ISO and environmental regulations.
  • Develops, delivers and assesses the effectiveness of REI quality training programs, including TTY, Kaizen, ZWTL and ISO. 
  • Supports departments conducting quality case studies and implementing improvements.
  • Plans and conducts internal quality system and process evaluations.
  • Identifies compliance issues and areas for corrective/preventive action.
  • Follows up to assess the proper identification of problem cause and implementation of effective countermeasures.
  • Coordinates internal and external audits with responsible parties.

Qualified candidates will possess

  • 5-7 years’ experience in Quality Control or Assurance in a manufacturing operation required. 
  • BS in technical discipline such as Production Technology or Quality Control.
  • Thorough knowledge of QA/QC processes, practices and systems (i.e. ISO 9001/1400, TQM, TTY Problem Solving, Kaizen, Six Sigma, & Environmental Sustainability) required.  Understanding the importance of quality assurance in the workplace
  • Advanced Excel skills (i.e. macros, pivot tables) and intermediate skills with Word and PowerPoint, and basic skills in Access required.
  • Strong data collection, data analysis and creative problem solving skills required.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to work on concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints in an organized fashion
  • Demonstrated ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens attentively and seeks clarification, and responds to questions effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver effective presentations (i.e. well written, use of your voice with enthusiasm and body language showing confidence).
  • Energetic, focused, meticulous in details, results-driven, positive demeanor, capable of managing your time with little to no supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in team-based environment with various organizational levels.
