Job Summary:

REI is seeking a System Analyst with RPG Programming experience to join our IT/S – Business Systems team in Georgia. The primary focus of this position is to analyze, program and test, implement and support various in-house and vendor developed software. The ideal candidate is open to learning new things, a quick-learner and able to take direction well.

Responsibilities include

The System Analyst Will:

  • Perform a variety of routine to moderately complex analytical, technical, and administrative activities in the planning, implementation and support of in-house and vendor developed software to support REI business operations.
  • Identify, analyze and document business needs and system requirements by conferring with staff or users. Investigate, analyze and evaluate system alternatives to prepare recommendations for routine to moderately complex design components of a project. Assist users in selecting system solutions with guidance from project manager.
  • Establish and execute detailed plans for the development and/or implementation of routine or small projects or portions of larger projects. Provide project coordination for small assignments and perform various administrative activities to support higher-level analysts in managing larger projects. Promote adherence to project schedules and explain project steps to users.
  • Develop, modify, maintain, test and install routine to moderately complex applications to meet business requirements. Create program specifications, flowcharts and documentation for new or existing applications. Code and debug programs in accordance with systems design and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical support and user consulting for assigned applications and business systems. Provide staff and end-users with assistance, and investigate issue, test and implement solutions. Review and adjust code to correct errors or improve functionality.
  • Perform ongoing systems maintenance of routine to moderately complex custom and enterprise applications to ensure proper application operation, functional efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist higher level analysts in the research, identification and evaluation of new technologies and product solutions to meet current and future business requirements.

Qualified candidates will possess

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 years of RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE), CLP, DDS, Query, SQL programming experience
  • Strong subfile programming using RPG required
  • Must be available for after-hours and weekend “On-call” duty
  • Working knowledge and experience of application development methodology, business workflows and processes, current business application technology, and analytical/system tools including DFU, FTP and Job Scheduler.
  • Good analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new things quickly



  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • 4+ years of RPG (RPG III, IV, ILE), CLP, DDS, Query, SQL programming experience
  • Working experience of ALDON Change Management.
  • System analysis and applications programming in one or more of the following: Oracle (PL/SQL), Lotus Notes Application (Formula, Lotus Script, Java)
  • Manufacturing industry experience
